The service

Owlstech eKYC is a subscription to a Bangladesh NID eKYC system: a Flutter plugin for your mobile apps and a licensed server image that you install and run on servers you control. It reads NID cards with OCR and checks liveness and face match.

Owlstech eKYC does not connect to or use any government API or database, including the Election Commission's NID server. It does not verify a card's authenticity or a person against a government registry.

Your account

• Give accurate details and verify your email address.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity in your account.
• Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.

Subscriptions and payment

• Prices are shown in Bangladeshi taka (BDT) for the whole term of a plan.
• Book a plan, pay to one of the accounts shown with your payment reference, and upload the payment receipt.
• Your subscription starts when we confirm the payment. Booking another plan while one is active extends it from its end date.
• We may decline a receipt we cannot match to a payment. You can then upload a new one.

Software, licence and deliveries

The plugin, the server image, their documentation and updates are licensed, not sold, under the Owlstech eKYC Software Licence delivered with them. It allows your organisation to run the server on infrastructure you control and to build the plugin into your own apps while your subscription is active.

You may not resell, share or redistribute the software, reverse engineer it, or bypass its licence checks. The licence ends when your subscription ends; you must then stop using the software.

Delivery files can be downloaded from your account for seven days. After that you can request them again from your account.

Your responsibilities

You decide how NID images, selfies and results are collected, used and stored in your apps and on your servers, and you are responsible for that processing. That includes informing people and getting their consent where required, securing your servers, and meeting the laws and regulations that apply to you.

OCR, liveness and face match results are automated and can be wrong. Review them as your process requires; you remain responsible for your customer verification decisions.

The demo app

• The demo is for evaluating the product, not for real customer verification.
• Scan only your own NID card and face, or those of a person who has agreed.
• The demo server limits how many requests each network address can make, and we may change or stop the demo at any time.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service for anything unlawful or to identify people without a lawful basis.
• Do not attack, overload or probe the website or demo server, or try to get around their limits.
• Do not share your account, licence key or delivery files with anyone outside your organisation.

Ownership

Owlstech and its licensors own the software, the website and their content. Some components are third-party software under their own licences, which apply to those components.

Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account.

Disclaimer and liability

To the extent the law allows, the website, the demo and the software are provided as they are, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the basis of automated results.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
